It helps in clearing lot of concepts in my mind as well which are not yet being defined.<br /><br />You have correctly put that Common Sense is only a subset of Human Intelligence. In fact if Human intelligence is to be graded into different levels then Common Sense would form the bottom most part of it. Humans also have creativity and imagination which when combined with intelligence, leads to discoveries and inventions.<br /><br />On RULA - Yes the reason for making "Understanding" part explicit is because most of the data based AI do not have this part. <br /><br />My scale to evaluate whether a system really "Understannds" is by just placing it next to a kid. If we are able to teach a computer in the same way we teach a kid about something then the computer really understands it. And what is the best way to know whether a kid has understood it?
